The Return of Wonder Woman..

 

It was recently brought to my attention that a post I made a month ago about Erin was deleted from our site.  For some reason it caused technical difficulties and Shaun deleted it (he couldn’t see it on his computer…?).  Anyway, I wanted to re-post it for two reasons.  One, I spent a great deal of time putting Erin’s head on Wonder Woman’s body (I don’t have Photoshop) and Two, I want to have it in our archives.  So here it is again, from my memory bank:

I don’t know how Erin does it.  I really don’t.  I recently completed a two-day seminar and then an off-site meeting.  Erin does this stuff every week.  She drives her kids to school (two different schools in two different states) and then commutes an hour each way to work.  Once at work its meetings, meetings, some therapy time for a co-worker in angst and then more meetings.  Once she’s home it’s dinner for the kids, homework with the oldest two (this ain’t your mother’s homework – her two oldest go to a private school with a very strict academic schedule), packing lunches, going through backpacks, baths, laundry etc…Then after the kids go to bed she does more of her own work.

Awhile ago she went back to school to obtain her master’s degree.  She did this while working full-time and raising children.  She also maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA.  Oh, she’s also written two books and is always looking for the next charitable thing to do (a missionary trip to Africa perhaps?)….

Anyway, I’m tired just writing that.  I know someday, once the boys get older, my life will become more chaotic (not that it's completely calm now).  It’s a part of being a parent I suppose.  We don’t get credit for this stuff (nor are we necessarily looking for it), it’s just something we do. 

Erin is my Wonder Woman.  I look up to her and am constantly asking her what she isn’t doing.  I’m still waiting for a ride in her invisible jet though….
